Sturgeon are bottom feeders and can be found not only in the San Francisco Bay, but in the Delta and up into the Sacramento River. Green Sturgeon (also know as Yellow) can grow to 7 feet and weigh up to 350 pounds, while white Sturgeon is the largest North American fresh water fish.
